ACJC student hazed - Nothing wrong?
Recently reported on STOMP and reading it on ALVINOLOGY… An ACJC student was hazed & ragged on her birthday by a bunch of ‘friends’ who threw cake and milk and water on her face; in her clothes and in her sorriest state, sang her a birthday song.
Students nowadays, unbelievable. I may be 25 but I don’t think that in my heydays in college we did anything like that. Who enjoys? The perpetrator or the victim? No points for guessing the right answer. Oh hell yes we played tricks on our friends during their birthdays.. Water splashing, cake smashing, bra strap pulling, ice-shooting from straws (I had really good aim. It usually ends up where I want it to… In the bra *snigger*) etc etc.. The only difference is, these are pranks & tricks that our friends can easily return the favour.. And a nice cake fight will ensue. And all our teachers will say is “remember to clean up after you all are done.” Oh.. Memories.. Of wasted cakes. Ahahaha!
But over the years, I’ve noticed that the notoriety of pranks have upped a level. It’s no longer the clean fun we had. Nowadays, it’s either filled with sexual intonations, or humiliating in nature, or physically harming. Teenagers nowadays have no sense of what is the limit, and doesn’t stop to think about what consequences their actions will have on other people, physically as well as mentally. They never think they are in the wrong, even when told so. And that is one thing I’m more concerned about. Our future is in the hands of people who are insensitive. I hope they grow up otherwise.
On the same line, read this ACJC student’s response on his blog. He doesn’t think anything is wrong with it. Ha. Ha. Ha. And yeah, ACJC is real elite. REAL ELITE. AAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH. *flips over laughing*
